Expenses You Missed in Business Plan
« on: May 18, 2015, 04:28:04 AM »
Hello folks, I'm new to this forum and mobile food vending in general. My question today as I assemble my business plan, what are the top expenses you either failed to include in your business plan or failed to realize how costly said expenses would be. Thank you very much!

Vending Fees which can be from Free to $500 for one event.
Maintenance cost, ie tires, oil, vehicle operating cost, repairs, etc.
Replacing items over the years, adding new or extra equipment.
Advertising Cost.

Now that I said that, I did not do what is called a business plan; I paid cash for everything I have; started with $5000.00 for everything and went from there.

I would also recommend that someone starting out  to try this part time; or even a lease; it is not for everyone; yes you can make money but it is work and I mean work.  For some a used cart is the best way to go for others new is the way to go but for everyone, YOU MUST MEET HEALTH DEPARTMENT, CITY, COUNTY AND STATE REQUIREMENTS WHERE YOU ARE.

Allow enough of a budget to cover all of your inventory from napkins to food.

Plus don't underestimate propane, water, and ice.
